Govt College of Teacher Education celebrated Environmental Day on June 5th, 2024, in General Hall 1. Daya Baburaj delivered the prayer song. Aslamiya from the first year B.Ed. Natural Science welcomed everyone. The presidential address was delivered by our college principal, Dr. A. V. Sujith. He mentioned the different layers of the Earth and the importance of this particular day. The inauguration was done by the ward councillor, Mr. G. Madav Das. He also mentioned the importance of this day by citing some incidents in his locality. We honoured the workers of Harithakarma Sena. The resource talk was given by Dr. Sujith V. Gopalan, who emphasized many important topics such as climate change, the importance of ecosystem restoration, the concept of the food web, and invasive species. The resource talk was really informative and useful. Shyba teacher and Amal R. (College Union Chairman) delivered the felicitation speeches.
