😍 Christmas vibes in GCTE🤩

Christmas is a time for giving. Without giving, there can be no true Christmas, and without sacrifice, there can be no true worship. The father gave his son, the son gave his life. The holiday of Christmas is one of joy, hope, and love. Jesus was born on this day. Christmas is a time to consider the value of friendship, family, and faith. Christmas is in the air because it is in everyone's hearts. Government College of Teacher Education hosted Jolly Hollies 2022, a Christmas party, on December 22 in the UGC Hall as part of this commemoration. Following a prayer led by Ms. Maria George, Ms. Jessy anchored the programme. Welcoming, an essential component of any programme that provides a warm beginning was successfully carried out by Ms.Sandhya.

Dr. V. K. Santhosh Kumar,(principal GCTE and general convenor of the programme) gave the presidential address. He recalled a few Christmas-related memories and wished all the teachers, non-teachers, and student teachers a blessed Christmas and a happy 2023 in the future. Rev. Fr. Sunil was the day's main guest. The ceremonial candle was lit by M. John, Vicar of Salem Marthoma Church in Vazhutacaud, who also gave the Jolly Hollies 2022 its official start. The chief guest then gave the inaugural speech, incorporating the concepts of love, friendship, sacrifice, and purity. He sent out his best wishes for a pleasant Christmas and New Year.

The depiction of the Christmas crib or Scene of the Nativity is a nearly a thousand-year-old custom. St. Francis made the decision to observe the Christmas feast in a novel manner in the year 1223. His mission was to aid in the better recall of the impoverished circumstances in which Jesus was born and to enable the populace of the time better understand the amazing occurrence of the incarnation. With the assistance of a local landowner, a nativity scene complete with a stable, animals, and straw was erected in the town of Greccio. The GCTE first-semester B.Ed. students decorated our college's Christmas crib. The history of the Santa Claus fable dates back hundreds of years and linked with the Saint Nicholas.Fr. Sunil received a token of our love from the principal, Dr. V.K. Santhosh Kumar.Dr. Joly. S, GCTE's vice principal, Dr. Issac Paul, a department of commerce associate professor, Manoj Kumar, GCTE's superintendent, Mr. Praveen Kumar, the college union chairman, Mr. Vishnu. G, an M.Ed. student, and Ms. Smitha G Nair, a research scholar, all gave congratulatory remarks. The vote of thanks was given by Ms. Sibana, who also concluded the official event. Then, many cultural programmes, activities, and events were held. The first-semester B.Ed. students showcased their talent by dancing and singing holiday songs. The M.Ed. students also wowed the audience with their amazing dancing.

The college union scheduled a number of games in the afternoon. Following that, Maria directed the first-semester B.Ed. students as they performed a nativity play. The treasure hunt put an ultimate cap on the fun and joy of the day. It was organised by college union members. At five o'clock in the evening, the show ended.
