On January 16, 2024, the G.C.T.E (Government College of Teacher Education) celebrated the auspicious festival of Pongal with great enthusiasm and joy. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest, Nainar Sir, a retired professor from the prestigious University College.

The celebrations began with the felicitation of Kumar Sir.The day was filled with various cultural programs. To add more excitement to the festivities, several games were organized, engaging everyone in a spirited atmosphere. As part of the Pongal celebrations, a kolam competition was also jorganized. Students and faculty members showcased their creativity and artistic skills by beautifully designing intricate kolams using rice flour. The competition added a visual treat to the event and emphasized the significance of kolam in Tamil tradition.
