👉 Traffic Awareness Session👈

 On 21st of December a traffic awareness session was held at GCTE campus,in general hall 1. The session was  handled by Mr Yethi Prakash NL, senior civil police officer.

 His talk made us clear about the road safety and the road awareness that we need  to keep in our life. He explained about each and every signals and symbols that we see in our day today life in roads. Through an interesting story related to our lives he was able to  connect each and every aspects of traffic awareness to us.

 An interesting magic trick was also done by him and also he made Keerthana  try her one of the tricks that she knew. We all liked the program very much  and it was interesting. Hope we'll get such programs in our future also.

Triangular Tribute❣

 A tribute to triangle was done on 20th of December. The initiative was taken by the  mathematics department  of GCTE. The coordinator of the program was Roshna mam.

 The initiative was a drawing competition. the competition was meant  to draw triangle  and using triangles our creativity must be showcased. We were divided into a group of 5. and we needed to work in groups. The time given was 1 hour that is from 3:30 to 4:30.

The very next day that is on 21st ,the results were declared. the award winning poster was the following

Each and every teams got prizes. Thanks to the mathematical  department for such a wonderful initiation.

👉 Poster making competition #Human Rights Day celebration 👈

In celebration of International Human Rights Day, the Human Rights & Ethics Cell of GCTE conduct a "POSTER MAKING COMPETITION" on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 2:30 to 3:30 PM, the event was held in the GCTE Sanskrit Room. "Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All" served as the theme of the competition. All departments of GCTE B.Ed batch reports their participation by submitting One poster compulsory by each department. 
The programme held on the supervision of student convener ,Social science association , GCTE. Students from all departments participate on the competition and submit the best from them.

The competition was in an organised manner and different criteria is provided for making and assessment of the posters. All the students followed the rules and regulations of the competition and made it as a great victory.

World Aids Day

1 December 2022: Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud, organized AIDS Day programme as part of Natural Science Association (BIOSTAR).

The programme started at 10 am with the prayer of Gowri Venu ( 1 st B. Ed Natural science). Dr. Rajshree ma'am carried out the  welcome address of  the event. The program was chaired by Principal Dr. VK Santhosh Kumar sir.  The felicitation speech was done by Isaac Paul Sir, (Commerce Department) Rosh Kumar Sir (Physical Education) and Also took the pledge on the occasion of AIDS Day, it was carried out by Rakesh Mohan ( 1 st B.Ed Natural science). Vote of thanks was done by Revathy .B. R (1 st B. Ed Natural science).

Every year December 1 is observed as World AIDS Day around the world, to create awareness about the need to not isolate people living with AIDS in the society and to emphasize their health and social security.Moreover, this day is also chosen to emphasize the importance of taking precautions to prevent AIDS, which seriously affects the body's immunity.
The chief guest Subhadra S (Skill Lab Trainer, Training Institute Thycaud Thiruvananthapuram) was present to share a lot of knowledge. The speaker imparted a lot of his knowledge by starting with talking about the virus called HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and the disease AIDS caused by the virus,it's treatment, causes and prevention method also. She gave a wide amout of knowledge and made us aware about it. The programme ended with the doubt clearing section by her.

😃 Constitution day celebration with Messi,Ronaldo,and Neyymar😊 😉

The day 28 November 2022 was a most enjoyable day. The day started with the celebration of Samvidhan Divas (the constitution day) organised by students of social science department, G C T E Thycaud. They organised the programme in a well assembled manner. They briefly explained about The preamble, The fundamental rights and duties and about the importance of constitution and law in our daily life. They also mentioned about the different articles in the constitution and share about the construction of constitution, the importance of preamble etc. They worked hard for the preparation of many charts for demonstration about the constitution day, preamble and fundamental rights and duties day in the programme with sharing an oath with us. The Geography teacher chitralekha shared reflection of the programme with us

 

After lunch break we had our  next programme, The Shootout Competition , which was held at our ground as the celebration of FIFA World Cup 2022. The competition started with 9 teams and at last the 9 th team won the competition , the second team was the runner up of the competition . The shootout was very interesting and enjoyable. All the team members participated the competition with their team spirit and power. A prediction contest was also organised as a part of this.
